    Water use almost doubles in the summertime, primarily due to outdoor water use like lawn watering. Maintaining a turfgrass lawn can have a high environmental cost for irrigation, mowing and fertilizers, but it is perfectly possible to have a good-looking lawn without the environmental cost.
