School Commute Planning

Ready Step Roll

Ready Step Roll is the region’s sustainable school commute planning program. CRD staff work in partnership with schools and their respective local governments and school districts to improve safety, accessibility, convenience and comfort so that more students, families and staff can choose to walk, bike, roll, take the bus, or carpool as a desirable option to and from school more often.

To deliver the various program offerings, CRD also partners with the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC), local police forces, BC Transit, Capital Bike and Project 529.
