About the System

The Capital Regional District (CRD) operates drinking water distribution for Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, View Royal, Sooke and parts of Highlands and the Juan de Fuca Electoral Area (East Sooke) through the Juan de Fuca Water Distribution System. This system supplies water to approximately 58,000 residential and business customers.

The Juan de Fuca Water Distribution System was established in 1997 and is administered by the Juan de Fuca Water Distribution Commission. The commission is made up of elected representatives from the member municipalities in the service area.
