Public Participation & Voting

Public participation is important to us as we develop and deliver public policies, programs, legislation, and services that impact people across the region in many ways.

As a regional district, we are also responsible for running local elections and assent voting in compliance with legislation. 

  • If you live in an electoral area, find out when and why we hold local elections.
  • Learn about alternative approvals or referenda which are used when your approval is needed for certain bylaws authorizing a new service or borrowing capacity
