The CRD collects retail water consumption data from all of the municipalities in the CRD. This data is compiled to form the Regional Retail Water Database. The purpose of the database is to identify factors that influence water use, identify areas for water conservation, focus conservation initiatives by targeting major water use groups and areas, and provide a more comprehensive basis for estimating future water demand.
