What Goes Where

Background

The Beyond the Curb program supports the CRD’s Solid Waste Management Plan by keeping recyclable materials out of the garbage. Recycling materials into new products reduces reliance on virgin materials, supports a circular economy, and helps to conserve the remaining capacity of Hartland Landfill. The program was designed to ensure as many residents as possible have access to consistent and convenient drop-off locations for a wide range of recyclable materials while reducing transportation challenges. Hub locations have been selected to improve access by locating them near recreation centres, transit exchanges, and cycling infrastructure.
