Horton Bay, Mayne Island

Horton Bay is located on the southeast side of Mayne Island, protected by Curlew Island in the Strait of Georgia. It lies off the north-west tip of Samuel Island. Horton Bay is very peaceful and protected, and can be a safe haven from strong winds and weather in The Strait of Georgia.

Public Moorage in Horton Bay

The limited float space here is primarily occupied by resident boaters. Rafting up is a viable option, and is mandatory at all CRD docks. The bay also has plenty of room for boats to anchor.

Nearby Services

From the wharf, a narrow road winds its way up to the main road, but it is several mile to any services on the island. There is a payphone at the dock, but otherwise, there are no on-shore facilities in proximity to the dock. Supplies and amenities are available at Lyal Harbour on Saturna Island, Sturdies Bay on Galiano Island, and Miners Bay on Mayne Islands.
