Woodpile burning inside the watershed will be occurring on Sunday October 12

If weather conditions permit, the CRD will be conducting sanctioned woodpile burning inside the watershed.  Woodpile burning is an operational necessity for watershed protection and helps decrease the risk of wildfires occurring during dry summer months.

Burning will occur deeper inside the watershed and the venting techniques used during burning significantly decrease the amount of visible smoke seen from a distance, however, residents in nearby areas may see light smoke blooms.
