A portion of the Galloping Goose Trail in Colwood is closed to pedestrian/cycling traffic between Wale Road and Belmont Bridge.

A portion of the Galloping Goose Trail in Colwood will be closed to pedestrian/cycling traffic between Wale Road and Belmont Bridge for the duration of 7 months for the City of Colwood's construction of a pedestrian bridge spanning Island Highway. 

A detour route will be provided through the informal walking path off the Galloping Goose Trail onto Belmont Road, Ocean Boulevard, Wale Road to continue back onto the Trail off Wale Road.
