Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands offer spectacular experiences from beachcombing at the edge of the Pacific Ocean, to walking among old growth rainforests, or taking part in a vibrant arts and culture scene. Our region is a great place to live, work, play and create year-round.

Health & Safety

We value a workplace that is safe and secure. As an organization, this means designing, implementing, and managing our work to promote healthy and safe working conditions and attitudes as integral to everything we do.

The CRD is proud to participate in the Certificate of Recognition (COR) Program. Employers receive COR certification when they implement an occupational health and safety management system that has successfully passed an external audit and met WorkSafeBC's standards. As an employer, the CRD received COR certification in 2021 in recognition of our efforts to proactively improve workplace safety and our commitment to going above and beyond what is legally required.
