The Galloping Goose Regional Trail closure through Viaduct Park to Dupplin Road - updated detour now in place.
During the current closure, detours for pedestrians, cyclists and wheelchair users are in place 24 hours a day, seven days per week.
Trail users must follow the new detour route shown on posted signs and map. This detour change supports the City of Victoria’s sanitary sewer replacement and the CRD’s trail widening and lighting work in Cecelia Ravine Park.

There is no public access to the construction zone. All trail users must keep out of the closure zone for their safety and follow all posted signage.

The CRD and the City of Victoria continue to work with BC Hydro on this closure. Infrastructure upgrades north of Viaduct Park will extend the closure and detour on the Galloping Goose Regional Trail as work continues. Coordinating this work within one construction period will reduce repeated closures and limit longer term disruption in Cecelia Ravine Park. The closure is expected to remain in place until spring 2027.
