Drivers travelling to and from Hartland Landfill should expect delays, yield to oncoming traffic, and follow posted traffic controls.

Visitors travelling to and from the Hartland Landfill should be aware that a one-lane closure is in effect on Hartland Avenue at the Tod Creek Bridge.

The District of Saanich has implemented the temporary traffic restriction while they complete a structural review of the bridge. Traffic remains open in both directions; however, drivers must yield to oncoming vehicles when crossing the bridge and follow all posted signs and traffic controls.

The District of Saanich assesses bridge structures every five years as part of its regular infrastructure-management practices. The current lane closure is a precautionary measure to support safe travel while the structural review is completed.

Drivers should plan for potential delays when travelling through the area.
