Victoria, BC– Juan de Fuca Electoral Area (JdF) Community Parks of the Capital Regional District (CRD) invites residents to participate in shaping the future of active transportation infrastructure in the electoral area.
Residents of the JdF electoral area and surrounding communities are encouraged to review proposed projects and share their thoughts on any aspects that may be missing or need further consideration. Your input is important in helping us create a comprehensive and effective active transportation network that reflects rural community needs.
Feedback will be received from February 21 to March 9, 2025, and will contribute to finalizing the Juan de Fuca Active Transportation Network Plan that is to be submitted to the Ministry of Transportation and Transit by March 31, 2025.
In October 2024, an initial survey was conducted to understand how and where residents use active transportation modes such as walking, cycling, and other non-motorized travel. The results helped identify key areas for improvement and development of active transportation facilities reflected in the currently proposed projects.
