The BC Ministry of Transportation is temporarily closing approximately 350 metres of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail due to the Highway 1 Bus-On-Shoulder-Lanes project. A detour will be place along Watkiss Way. See map for details. [PDF/2.7MB] The trail is expected to reopen mid-October.

The BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit's Highway 1 Bus-On-Shoulder-Lanes project began in spring 2025. The project includes a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge for the Galloping Goose Regional Trail crossing at Craigflower Creek, which will improve active transportation on this route.
