Island View Beach Regional Park (Central Saanich)
Celebrate life on the beach at this drop-in event with CRD Regional Parks naturalists, cultural programmer and special guest organizations. There will be games, crafts, activities and more to help you make connections with the creatures that call this beach home. Join a guided walk featuring Indigenous Perspectives and learn how you can be a caretaker of this precious place for future generations.
Meeting place: Drop by anytime between 10am and 1pm. Meet at the grassy area adjacent to the picnic shelter off Homathko Drive.
Trail Description: Approximately 50m to event location from parking lot along a gravel path. Approximately 300m for guided walks. The second guided walk will be wheelchair accessible along the beach trail. Tents will be set up along the gravel path and in the grassy field. The beach is now wheelchair accessible on the newly installed mobi mat. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Two accessible parking stalls.
