Sooke and Electoral Area Parks and Recreation Commission (SEAPARC) is replacing the Sooke Skate Park.

The Sooke Skate Park was built in 1997 by the Rotary Club of Sooke and is currently operated by the CRD’s SEAPARC Recreation Centre. This park has been a much loved and well used recreation asset in the community and is now in need of replacement.

The skate park concept design was completed early in 2025 with input from the the community, incorporating as much feedback as possible within the current budget and site topography. Funding approval was finalized in June 2025.

The project is now in the final planning and pre-construction phases:

  • Agricultural Land Commission approval for exemption for non-farm use of the site
  • Technical design
  • Demolition
  • Construction
