Existing Apartment and Townhouse Complex

Located at 1821 & 1827 McKenzie Avenue in Saanich, Willowdene-Rosewood is a 15-unit townhouse and 44-unit apartment complex at the end of its service life and requires replacement. The townhouse and apartments complex will be redeveloped as a consolidated site known as 1800 McKenzie. 

Proposed Redevelopment

The redevelopment proposes 259 units across three, six-storey buildings set atop a shared underground parkade. The proposed redevelopment is currently at the development permit application stage. The remodeling will provide a wide range of units from studios to four-bedrooms.

This redevelopment aims to modernize density, providing the community with housing options on a future rapid-transit route, near schools, active transportation, and other amenities.

The project is estimated for completion in Q2 2030.
