Driveway widening underway at 280 Willis Point Road from August 17 to December 31, 2026.

The CRD is undertaking construction to widen the Hartland Landfill North Entrance driveway used by commercial vehicles and improve sightlines for vehicles exiting onto Willis Point Road.

  • Willis Point Road will remain open to two-way traffic and will not be reduced to single-lane access.
  • Please exercise caution, obey all signage placed for your safety and follow the directions of the flag persons on duty.

We recognize that construction may cause minor temporary disruptions, and the project team will work to minimize impacts wherever possible.

A limited number of trees will be harvested as part of the driveway expansion and to improve sightlines for exiting traffic. Harvested trees will be offered to First Nations for lumber or firewood. Over the coming years, Hartland Landfill will plant additional trees to help maintain and enhance the surrounding area.

We thank the public for their patience as this work is completed to improve safety at the site. Project updates will be posted here as they become available.
