Grant of Interest in Land: 6638 Deering Road, Port Renfrew BC – Un-registered Lease.
Public notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 286 of the Local Government Act, RSBC 2015 c-1, that the Capital Regional District (“CRD”) intends to grant a leasehold interest to the Vancouver Island Regional Library (“VIRL”), on the property located at 6638 Deering Road, Port Renfrew legally described as PID 016-289-391 Lot 1, VIP50819, Section 36, Township 13, Renfrew District (the “Lands”), shown below in with a dashed line, collectively marked “Lease Area”, to allow for operation of the Vancouver Island Regional Library. The lease commences August 1, 2026, for a term
of 5 years with the option to renew for two further 5 year terms with reassessment of the rent fee at that time. The consideration payable to the CRD by the lessee for the first 5-year term will be $19,829.78/year plus a 2.5% rent increase per year
