The Capital Regional District (CRD) is creating a Regional Transportation Service (RTS) to help achieve three key objectives: increase walking, cycling and transit use; reduce carbon pollution; and tackle congestion.

On June 11, 2025, the CRD Board adopted Bylaw 4630 Regional Transportation Service following elector approval. For more information on transportation planning and programs visit Regional Transportation | Capital Regional District
