The Capital Regional District (CRD) is developing a new Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) to guide how people and goods move throughout the region over the next 30 years.

The Regional Transportation Plan will establish a shared vision and long-term direction for transportation across the capital region. It will help guide future transportation planning and investment decisions while improving coordination between municipalities, agencies, and regional partners.

The plan will focus on big-picture regional priorities, including:

  • Improving connections between communities
  • Supporting safe and accessible travel options
  • Responding to growth and changing transportation needs
  • Supporting climate and affordability goals
  • Improving how the transportation system works together across the region
