    Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park (Metchosin)

    Bring your little ones and meet some of the crabs and their cousins that make Witty’s Lagoon their home. Join a CRD Regional Parks naturalist for some gentle intertidal exploration and discover these creatures up-close and personal. 

    Meeting Place: Park at the main entrance off Metchosin Road. Meet at the Witty’s Beach kiosk at the end of the Beach Trail. Allow 20 minutes to hike down to the beach. 

    Trail Description: 1.2km trail down to beach; 500m guided walk on beach. A steep wide gravel trail near the main parking lot, leading to a narrow trail with tree roots with steep and slight inclines along the way. The surface for the walk itself is a combination of sandy and rocky beach. Accessible washrooms available near parking lot.
