Francis/King Regional Park (Saanich)
Get outside and experience a nature walk along the accessible Elsie King Trail while stopping to enjoy an illustrated children's book - Woodpecker Wham! by April Pulley Sayre. A CRD Regional Parks naturalist will be there to bring the story to life. StoryWalks™ are hosted by West Shore Parks & Recreation. Check wspr.ca for more StoryWalk™ Wednesdays this summer.
Meeting place: The Francis/King Nature Centre off Munn Road.
Trail description: 800m loop with 7 benches along the way. Boardwalk and compact gravel surfaces with slight incline. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Wheelchair accessible and stroller friendly. We may encounter dogs in our parks. This trail requires all dogs to be on leash.
Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks. If you plan to attend one of our programs, please leave pets at home. Guide and service animals are, of course, welcome.
