Going Squirrelly!
Kindergarten-Grade 1; 1.5 hrs (maximum 25 students)
This interactive program introduces children to squirrels, and the adaptations to their forest homes. Your students will experience the changing autumnal forest as these busy acrobats prepare for the winter ahead. Offered at Elk/Beaver Lake, Francis/King and Witty's Lagoon regional parks.

Students will discover the whoo-oo, what and how of these expert night hunters and their unique adaptations. A close-up look at two different species of common owls, practicing some awesome owl calls and hands-on learning will round out the program. E.A.G.L.E. Storytelling

Ravens, beavers, and bears…oh my! On this interactive program, we invite participants to explore the natural environment through Indigenous-centred storytelling. Students will be amazed at how Indigenous Peoples use this time-honoured tradition to share lessons and values with their children. NEW E.A.G.L.E. Rattle, Hum and Drum
Grades 1-2: 1.5 hrs (maximum 25 students)
On this interactive program, we invite participants to explore the natural elements connected to the making of drums and rattles, while providing a ‘hands on’ opportunity to learn how and why they are used. Students will be amazed at how Indigenous Peoples use this time-honoured tradition, not only to celebrate but to share lessons and values with their children. E.A.G.L.E. Layers of the Forest
Grades 2-3; 1.5 hrs (maximum 25 students)
On this interactive program we invite participants to explore through a First Peoples lens the cultural significance of plants and wildlife, thriving within the different layers of the forest. The cultural uses, lessons and values linked with respectful hunting and gathering by local First Peoples will amaze students. E.A.G.L.E. From Caretakers to Protectors
Grades 4-5; 1.5 hrs (maximum 30 students)
On this interactive cultural program, we invite participants to explore the environment through a First Peoples lens. From the practice of time-honoured traditions to the effects of colonization, students will better understand the transition of Indigenous Peoples from caretakers to protectors. We will identify how stewardship and sustainable practices of First Peoples can help reduce our impact on the environment. Offered at Elk/Beaver Lake, Francis/King and Witty's Lagoon regional parks.
