Biography

Caroline Stengl is originally from Calgary, Alberta, where she studied at the Alberta College of Art and Design for four years. She transferred to the University of Victoria to complete an art education degree and enjoy the coast. She graduated in 2003 and has been working since then as an art teacher for the Saanich Adult Education Centre and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria.

Caroline began drawing and painting at a very early age, influenced and encouraged by artistic family members. Subject matter for artwork is nature, landscapes, marine wildlife, portraits, circus characters and expressive abstract work.

University of Victoria, B. Ed. and BC Teacher Certification, Secondary Curriculum, Concentration in Art Education, graduated with distinction, June 2003. Alberta College of Art and Design, four years part-time and full-time study, drawing department, 1994-1999.
