Andrea Searle

Biography

Andréa Searle is a queer Afro-latinx/Ojibwe artist working and residing on W̱SÁNEĆ territory. They are a practicing tattoo artist in Victoria, and they currently strive to provide a safe space for the LGBTQ+ and POC communities to adorn their bodies in this city.

Resume

Andréa Searle brings a fresh new outlook to tattooing, drawing inspiration from Michoacana folk art, Catholic iconography and the Dada art movement.
Outside of tattooing Andréa creates mixed media pieces that explore latency between the body and soul, Dominican Santeria, and the deification of POC bodies to bring light to a world that continues to depict them in darkness.
