A textile assemblage referencing a stage curtain being pulled back.

Artist statement

Carole Sabiston, textile assemblage artist of national and international acclaim, has developed a unique visual language over many years. Rich colours, textures and movement fuse to create immediately engaging works filled with fantasy and humour. Her work of the past fifty years has conveyed serious environmental issues affecting our global future while pointing to lost ways of life. She draws from histories that should not be forgotten, and also from world literature and contemporary commentaries.
