Hands of Time: Cupping Dogwood Blossoms Description Pacific Dogwood is British Columbia's floral emblem. This sculpture symbolizes Victoria as British Columbia's Capital City, and the importance of appreciating the present and nurturing the future. This sculpture is one of 12 bronze hands placed throughout the city. Each one captures a gesture tied to Victoria’s past or present.

About the artist Przybille earned a fine arts degree (with Distinction) from the University of Victoria. She has participated in artist residency programs in British Columbia, Nunavut, and the Netherlands. She has created several public artworks, including The Father Pandosy Mission 150th Anniversary Commemorative Sculpture, The Hands of Time (the City of Victoria's 150th Anniversary Commemorative Sculpture) and Illuminature (City of Kelowna). Projects include a life sized, bronze figurative sculpture of Chief Sʷknc̓ut (Sookinchute), commissioned by Westbank First Nation.
