Bas Relief Murals

Description

These 'cast in place' concrete murals are two of four permanent art works incorporated within the overall design of the Saanich Municipal Hall. They were installed during the construction of the hall in 1965.

One mural is located in the hall's main entrance lobby, and the other is on the second floor lobby.

About the artist
Wade, Stockdill, Amour and Partners

The architectural firm of Wade, Stockdill, Amour and Partners was responsible for numerous institutional buildings in Greater Victoria, including buildings for the University of Victoria, the District of Saanich Municipal Hall, and the original Victoria Airport Terminal Building.
