Meghan Hildebrand
A contemporary Canadian painter born in Whitehorse, Yukon, Meghan Hildebrand was raised within a community of artists. Encouraged from an early age, she has long been motivated to express her experience of the world, the small-town slice of Canada between the Yukon and the Sunshine Coast of BC where she now resides. Megan draws on her northwest environs, painting vivid landscapes bursting with life. Merging representation with imagination, she constructs worlds that are richly abundant yet never untouched by the reach of human activity.
Meghan has been painting and exhibiting since 1997. She has studied at the Kootenay School of the Arts, and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design. She's participated in over 25 group shows and over 40 solo exhibitions all across Canada and Internationally.
