Chinatown Heritage Murals – Storefront

Description

This mural turns a blank wall into a lively street scene. It shows a traditional Chinese herbal medicine shop with an open door and people gathered inside. The shop is based on Way Sang Yuen, a real business that operated in Victoria.

You can almost imagine stepping into the shop yourself, drawn in by the open door and the quiet bustle inside.

It’s a tribute to the resilience and creativity of Chinese immigrants who built businesses, supported each other and shaped the neighbourhood. The mural serves as a reminder of the rich cultural tapestry and the enduring legacy of the community.
