Biography

Darlene Gait is a member of Esquimalt Nation and is an active artist. She is an accomplished wildlife painter whose art has been collected internationally.

Resume

Other work includes several children's book illustrations, eight coin designs for the Royal Canadian Mint and dozens of art illustrations and designs created for government and businesses. Her art can be seen on the BC Ferries Comox/Powell River route, the Unity Wall at Ogden Point, and on many information panels across Vancouver Island. Darlene works in several mediums including realistic scenic, portrait and contemporary West Coast Salish design.
