About the artist
Jocelyn Floyer

Floyer attended Malaspina College, taking courses in fine arts and social sciences. During this period in the early 70's she also began a passionate commitment to painting.  Upon moving back to Victoria she attended the Victoria College of Art studying under the tutelage of such artists as Jack Shadbolt, Jake Wise, Flemming Jorgeson and Bill Porteous.  Jocelyn continues to paint daily, while supporting environmental and community causes. Jocelyn's paintings are her personal "response to her environment. They are, in fact, affirmations or celebrations of life."

  • Born 1930, Victoria, BC, Canada
  • Studied with Robert Aller, Leroy Jensen and at Malaspina College and under the tutelage of such artists as Jack Shadbolt, Jake Wise, Flemming Jorgeson and Bill Porteous.
  • Graduated from Victoria College of Art in 1980.
